The Office of the White House Initiative on
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders coordinates the activities of
the President's Advisory Commission and the Interagency Working Group.
In May 2001, John Quoc Duong was appointed to serve as the Executive
Director of the Office of the White House Initiative. This office
is currently housed under the Department of Health and Human Services
(DHHS) which is the lead federal department responsible for implementation
of the Executive Order.
